Pixley Health Fair

On January 31st Central Valley Empowerment Alliance continued it's Rural Health campaign by bringing health information, health check ups, and more partner resources.

The event spearheaded by team member Aide Hernandez brought rural community valuable resources on Medi-Cal, health check-ups, blood pressure checks, and blood sugar checks. These efforts help raise awareness on health safety practices in often forgotten small cities within Tulare County.

The event was held in Pixley Elementary School at the heart of where many local families’ children attend. We are thankful for Local organizations Tulare Basin Water Foundation, Kings View, Kaweah Medical, California Farmworker Foundation, Anthem Blue Cross, and Kaweah Health for coming out to support this great effort for the betterment of the people.

CVEA is dedicated to serving and uplifting rural community through these health fairs. This serves as the sixth Rural Health Fair CVEA has hosted, bringing awareness into small community.

The next event will be hosted in Cutler/Orosi in the month of February. Stay tuned for more information about this event!
